The project

One hundred women. One shared belief in what comes next.

Kendra created Becoming as part of her ongoing commitment to use portraiture in service of women and causes that matter. The project will bring together women whose lives have been shaped by interpersonal violence or sexual assault, and women whose work places them on the front lines of care, healing, advocacy, and support whose lives and work reflect resilience, purpose, and growth.

This is not a project about retelling trauma. It is about who these women are now, what they carry forward, and the strength, joy, leadership, and possibility they bring into the world.

Through the portraits, exhibition, and coffee table book, Kendra is raising funds for the Center for Assault Treatment Services and helping bring greater visibility to its work.
